The last few years more and more fitness centers are extending their operating time. On average they are open from early morning until midnight. Customers are free to decide when to practice in accordance with the time they have. Although basically the sport can be done anytime, but researchers found that the most appropriate time for those who want to maintain weight and maintain insulin sensitivity is before eating.
A group of Belgian researchers is conducting research on 27 health bodied men and women who were given the consumption of foods with high fat, sugar and calories. That diet was chosen because it is very effective to gain weight and reduce insulin sensitivity. Most diabetic patients have insulin resistance. The respondents were then divided into three groups. One group did not perform physical activity but has a bad diet. The second and third group exercise with the same intensity, but the second group exercise after breakfast and the third group before breakfast.
The result is quite dramatic. The control group experienced weight gain and decreased their insulin sensitivity. The group that exercise after eating also gained weight but not as much as the first group. In contrast with the third group. Although their diet is high in calories and fat, but their weight is stable and have a relatively high insulin sensitivity.
