CIA Looking for Spy
The United States’ Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), put an ad on television to find potential candidates of spy. This time their target is youth who speak more than one language. In the narrative of the ad, it said that being a spy means changes in everyday life and get a challenging job. “Do not just look at the news, join us, 24 hours a day,” says the narrator in the ad.
This is the first time the CIA to openly conduct recruitment. Previously, according to CNN, the CIA was never as open as today. CIA Director, Leon Panetta, said that the CIA particularly looking for people from Middle Eastern communities in the U.S. who can speak Pashto and Dari, the two ethnic with Persian language which is often used in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran. In addition, they are also looking for youth who speaks fluent Chinese.
“Our agents will need to collect information from abroad. By talking the language of the country, they would easily blend in and extract information from the source,” said Panneta. The new intelligence agents who will be recruited would eventually be placed in the National Clandestine Service unit. The spy activities in this unit is said to be the best five on earth, similar with Mossad, Israel, and MI6, the British.
